Though I don't usually state it this early on, I feel compelled to let the reader know that this book is definitely worth purchasing. Whether you are a new Christian or one that struggles to understand how themes run together to give us the Bible story, this excellently written work is a gem. Author Chris Wright takes the entire Bible and condenses the main highlights into an easy to read format. Scriptures are used along with his explanation that help create clarity.This is not a substitute for diligent Bible readi. A Must Read for new Christian's I really enjoyed this book and for it being so short it is a great resource for new Christian's. If you refer to your Bible and read all the scriptures that Mr. Wright references you will get a great starting point to understanding the Bible and get you interested in reading more. I wish I would have discovered this book in the beginning of my Christian walk. I highly recommend this book!. disagree with some things Catlover2012 I believe that there isn't a Jewish "race"' but a religion. There is a human race, of different faiths and different colors.
