I rarely laugh when reading a book but I found myself laughing at a number of instances in this collection of short stories. I enjoyed this book very much and read through it rather quickly as I was digging the humor and mayhem. Been reading Singleton's work for years so I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. A nice change of pace if you've been reading a lot of novels lately. Although be warned, you'll be left wondering what happened next to many of the characters you come across in Between Wrecks. But that's a good thing.. Intelligent Hilarity. George Singleton delivers in spades. V is for me. Thought provoking prose that's funny as hell. Every story was like eating a sumptuous Southern dessert (followed by a shot of bourbon). Setting aside, it's brilliant.Stet!
