Ali Nicholle said Simple, practical homemaking advice. I wish this book had existed when I got married! I've been married for almost three years and have learned more from this book than any other resource I've used. The authors give simple advice that has encouraged me to be more practical about homemaking. In a chapter about cooking they wrote, "Kitchen catastrophes are bound to happenso keep your sense of humor and a frozen pizza on hand and enjoy the learning process for what it is." I'm glad I have this book to help me. VERY Rudimentary Gretchen in the MItten This book is NOT what I was expecting. At all. It would be an excellent gift for a girl moving into Young Women, but definitely not for a grown woman keeping house. The information is almost insultingly rudimentary, teaching the BARE BASICS of home care, cooking, etc. I bought this thinking that there would be a ton of great information about frugal living, raising a family, and most especially food storage tips.
