"Average text" according to WMR. This was a required book for a graduate level research course. Overall, this is an average text. I prefer "Research Strategies for Advanced Practice Nurses" by Susan Norwood. I'm a firm believer in using more than one text for any graduate level course, and I definitely would not use this book alone. Not a bad book, but certainly nothing to rave about.. Carolyn's review This is a great book for someone like me who has been out of school for a while. It has some really great insights that your teacher will never tell you. It has made the difference in my grade in this class.. "An Excellent Resource" according to Adventure lover. I used this book (probably the first edition) when I was a doctoral student in the 80's. I see that it is still available. To this day I am grateful for this book! It was instrumental in my completing my dissertation and receiving my PhD. Later on in my teaching or graduate students in nursing, I often recommended it to my students. For any doctoral student out there struggling with research design, this may be just the book you need.
